Net gains for angling club

Carrick Angling Club held its spring competition at Glendrissaig reservoir on Sunday, with more than 20 anglers taking part and nearly everyone catching fish.

The juniors section was won by 16-year-old Connor Crawford, who caught six fish. This was Connor’s debut fishing trip with the club, and his catch included a tagged fish to win him an extra prize. Second place went to Richard Todd, with four fish.

The winner of the adult section was Callum McKenzie, with 23 fish. Runner-up was Gordon Todd, with 20 fish.
