THE NEXT generation of golfing legends could be prepped at Turnberry’s tees as the Carrick resort opens its links to families.

Aiming promote a new world-leading centre for the learning and teaching of golf – the Turnberry Performance Academy, which launches next month – Turnberry plan to host two golf open days this Easter holiday.

The days will offer children the chance to take part in a Junior Golf Clinic with Turnberry’s PGA teaching professionals, followed by a complimentary round on the nine-hole Arran course.

Turnberry’s general manager, Jordi Tarrida, said the open days are part of the resort’s passion for supporting junior-level golf.

“Working with our new partners at the Turnberry Performance Academy, we hope to see many of golf’s rising stars enjoying our new facilities with their families at one of the world’s most famous courses,” he said.

The Turnberry Open Days take place on Sunday April 7 from 2-4pm, and Friday April 12 from 11am–1pm. The events are free of charge but visitors should register by calling 01655 334 175 or emailing rsvp.turnberry@luxurycollection.com.
