Cats’ Corner

Sassi knows what she likes and she’d like a home!

At 12 years of age, Sassi still has a taste for life as you can see from her picture, licking her chops and she is keen to have a forever home with good food, affection and comfort! She is a dark tortoiseshell, who can be flexible in her living arrangements, including dogs and children but would definately prefer to be the only cat in the household. She is happy indoors but has been outdoors too so a nice garden to sunbathe later in the year would be advantageous. She has been neutered, vaccinated and healthchecked.

Just to remind people, we do maintain a local lost/found register, and indeed have found a few cats in Prestwick/North Ayr recently so if you have not already done so, please do contact us if you have lost your pet. We can also advise on microchipping which is invaluable in reuniting pets and owners. With the better weather approaching, and cats wanting outside more, we cannot stress how important neutering is. We can assist with the cost of this quick and easy process, and with the number of unwanted cats in the region lately we need everyone to take responsiblity and make sure their pets can’t have kittens and be part of our statistics in years to come.

We are also still looking for assistance with bag packing on various dates, both at Tesco in Ayr, and Asda in Girvan. Further information on any of the points raised can be obtained by ringing our volunteer-manned branch on 08453 714216 between 10am and 3pm, Monday/Tuesday, Thursday/Friday.
