South Ayrshire Cats Protection are looking for a forever home for Demelza.
She is only just over one-year-old and already been subjected to motherhood which she coped well with despite her age. We have tried to rehome Demelza before but she wouldn’t be suitable for a home with other cats. The good news is, now that she has been neutered and her hormones have settled down again she is a much more laid back, and we think pending proper introductions, she could share her home with another cat. She is a very friendly, beautiful tortoiseshell and deserves to be pampered after her rough start in life. She has been microchipped and fully vaccinated, health checked and will come with four weeks free insurance and ideally once settled would need access to outdoors. If you can offer a forever home please get in touch with our volunteers on 03453 714216.
With kitten season upon us, many households are acquiring new kittens or animals from all sources and taking them home, then often end up rehoming the animals due to them not getting on or due to allergies, which puts enormous strain on the animal charities. PLEASE before you get a pet, get every household member to spend time with a similar animal to test for allergies, and when introducing new pets to the household, don’t just put them in the same room and let them get on with it. Cats Protection can advise on the correct way to introduce cats to other pets, to minimise stress and increase the likelihood of success.
