CARRICK curry fans could be hot news as Indian food brand Patak’s seeks out its Official Taster 2012.

Curry company Patak’s is celebrating National Curry Week with a competition to become Official Curry Taster 2012. The winning candidate will be the voice of the nation when it comes to tasting curry and helping shape the future of the Patak’s brand. You don’t need any formal qualifications to apply, you just need to convince the Patak’s panel of judges that your passion for curry knows no bounds and that you are Britain’s biggest curry fan.

The winner will receive a year’s supply of Patak’s sauces, pastes, pickles and poppadums and invited to attend new product development days with Patak’s in their innovation kitchen.

The successful entrant will get to try dozens of new dishes and feed back their thoughts in order to help create new products and refine existing recipes.

Anjali Pathak, the grand-daughter of the Pathak’s family, will also come to the winner’s home and give them a masterclass in Indian cooking to unlock the secrets of the perfect home-cooked curry - as well as preparing an Indian feast for the lucky winner and nine friends to enjoy.

Anjali said: “It’s the first time that we at Patak’s have allowed members of the public to help us develop our range so we’re all keen to see the changes this new dynamic will bring.”

Competition entries should be made via the Patak’s Facebook page at
