Come along to Straiton this Saturday the 30th of August to celebrate the annual fun day in the village.
The day opens at 1pm with the first event which is the annual Craigengower hill race and is open to competitors from age 6 and up. (Those age 6-11 years race only to the treeline but require adult supervision during the race).
Registration for the hill race is from 12.15pm to 1.15pm in the village hall and costs £2.50 for under 16s and £5 for adults.
After the race there will be activities for all age groups including the fancy dress competition (dress for the theme of “Life on the Ocean Wave”) with prizes for all ages, water walkers, a bouncy castle, several stalls showcasing local talent, cream teas, bar and more. The day will close with the hurling competitions. As you can see there is fun for all the family this Saturday in Straiton.
