Saturday June 7 will see the tenth year of the sponsored walk for breakthrough breast cancer.
Organiser Elaine Mitchell is hoping this anniversary year will make the walk bigger, better and busier than ever before.
The group have raised over £55,000 for breakthrough breast cancer and this years walk on the 7th June starts at 6pm at the Carrick Learning Buildings in Girvan’s Henrietta Street.
Registration begins at the learning building at 5.30pm where minimum registration is £10 per adult and £3 per child with sponsor forms available as well.
As usual people can walk, jog or run the 2, 6 or 10 miles and all refreshments are included.
And for Elaine and partner Darren, there will be celebrations the week before at the Girvan Lowland Gathering on Sunday 1 June as the pair have been chosen as the chieftains for this year’s ceremony.
Elaine is also delighted to confirm that she will be running with the Commonwealth Games torch for 200m through Girvan on Friday 20th June.
