The 2015-16 session of Upper Stinchar SWI ended with the AGM and prizegiving.
President Yvonne Jack presented the trophies for the year.
Liz Copeland was a worthy double winner, first collecting the Elizabeth Scott Rose Bowl for earning most points in the Main Competitions, and second, picking up the Jean Milner Quaich for most points in the Fun Competition. Yvonne reported on a successful year with an excellent series of interesting talks, food tasting, musical entertainment and hands-on workshops for members.
Committee members and others were thanked for their support during the year. Upper Stinchar SWI has benefitted this year from Hadyard Hill funding which has helped towards expenses for Rural events in Barr. With Netta Wilson voted on to Committee, business matters made way for the fun part of the evening- a buffet supper of cheese n’ wine and a four part quiz complied by Yvonne Jack and Vera Dunlop and much enjoyed by members. The first night of the new session of Upper Stinchar SWI is on Thursday 15th September 2016.
