Preston Reed and Nick Harper are set to wow crowds at Girvan’s North Parish Church when they perform live on Friday July 31.
The concert is being organised by Preston’s wife and manager Catherine McGuire who said: “I feel it’s time to do another concert and to bring another extraordinary music talent –Nick Harper- to the stage in Girvan. If the event is successful it’s something I’d like to do on an annual basis, perhaps even the start of a Girvan Music Festival, but we need to walk before we can run, an endeavour like this needs the support of the local community and music lovers from further afield to become an ongoing success.
“We had almost 200 people at the last concert so that’s given me the confidence that there’s a strong appetite for more live music in the area”. Nick’s style has been pleasing audiences for over two decades with his mix of showmanship, boyish charm, bravado and virtuosity whilst Preston has been described as the world’s best guitarist by Total Guitar and performs a show full of contrasting styles leading one reviewer to say it was the best solo show he’d seen since Bruce Springsteen.
Tickets £10 in advance available from The Sweetie Shop in Dalrymple Street or www.prestonreed.com or £12 on the door on the night.
