New voices sing for hospice

The choir “New Ayrshire Voices” is all set to take to the stage in their “Voices of Spring Concert” on Friday 22nd April 2016 in aid of the hospice.

Organised by hospice supporter Marilyn de Blieck, and her husband Raymond Bramwell, the concert is their way of giving back to the hospice after Marilyn’s father was cared for until his death in September 2015.

Marilyn explains: “My father, who was in his nineties, but whose health had remained remarkably good, suffered from deteriorating health for almost a year before his death. In summer 2015 he began attending the Ayrshire Hospice day centre; this brought much needed reassurance to him as well as great relief to myself and the rest of the family. It was a real help to know that on his “hospice days” he was being supported and cared for by knowledgeable and caring staff. As a family, we had begun to run out of alternative options.

“At the hospice, my father received the best possible care in an environment where he was always treated as a valued individual.

The concert will be held in Holy Trinity Church, Fullarton Street, Ayr on Friday 22nd April at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 with proceeds being donated to the hospice. For more information please contact Robert Flynn on 01292 288488.
