Sad farewell at South Parish

The South Parish Choir and the Joint Churches Choir sadly had to say farewell to Mrs Maida Forsythe, who has retired after 20 plus years as Choir Mistress. She not only managed the South Choir but it was her brain wave to gather singers together from Girvan and District Churches, to celebrate Easter And Christmas. This “Choir with no name” was a tremendous success.

The summer Fete is to be held in the Church and halls on Saturday, 26 May at 2pm. Delicious teas and baking will be available and stalls include plants, unwanted gifts and white elephant. Commemorative tea towels for 160th birthday of the church, will be on sale.
