Shake a tin for SSPCA

The Scottish SPCA is appealing to kind hearted people in Ayrshire to volunteer and help raise funds for abused, abandoned and injured animals.

Scotland’s animal welfare charity is urging locals to get involved in its Rehoming Week, which runs from 2 - 8 May, by shaking a collection tin in their area.

Marion Hainey, manager of the charity’s animal rescue and rehoming centre in Ayr, said, “Every year our centre takes in and finds loving new homes for hundreds of neglected, mistreated and unwanted animals and 2016 is proving to be just as challenging. During Rehoming Week we have opportunities to fundraise throughout Ayrshire and we’d be very grateful if people who love animals can get behind our appeal and help.” Anyone who would like to help raise funds for the Scottish SPCA can contact the fundraising team on 03000 999 999 or email
