The annual Lochinch Castle Victorian Charity Christmas Fair returns on Friday and Saturday, November 9 and 10.

The event offers unique gifts from 46 specially selected stalls.

Last year the fair, undercover in the Victorian courtyard and large Christmas marquee, attracted almost 1500 people.

Open from 3pm-7pm on Friday, with a free glass of mulled wine for every guest, and 10am-4pm on Saturday, the fair is sure to get you in the mood for Christmas.

The wide variety of stalls offer gifts for everyone, including books, toys, gifts for gardeners, cooks, outdoor enthusiasts, home interiors, jewellery, clothing, Christmas cards and decorations, and much more.

Soak up the Victorian atmosphere with many stall holders wearing Victorian dress, join Countess Grantham and her companions from Downton Abbey as they too hunt for the perfect Christmas gifts. Enjoy local carol singers and highlights from Oliver! by Stranraer Drama Group, visit Santa in his grotto between 11am and 2pm on Saturday, burn off some energy on the bouncy castle (weather permitting) and enjoy seasonal food, cakes and tray bakes from Castle Kennedy Gardens Tea Room and Caroline’s Catering.

The fair is in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and Galloway Garden Festival, and 10% of exhibitors’ proceeds will be donated to both causes.

Lochinch Castle is situated three miles east of Stranraer on the A75. Admission is £3.50 per adult and £1 per child. Free car parking is available adjacent to the Victorian stables.
