Many people from around Carrick joined in a national Breakthrough Breast Cancer walk to raise money for the charity.
The work of the charity is only possible due to the generosity of the public – all the money it receives is donated.
It needs to raise £20 million a year to support its essential research and people in Carrick helped this year by taking part in the event for Breakthrough.
The events cover the length and breadth of the UK, from cycling and trekking to triathlons and skydiving.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer is more than a name. It’s a force.
A force of thousands of people across the UK working together with a single-minded ambition to stop women dying from breast cancer.
It aims to achieve this by finding new treatments, discovering the causes, promoting early detection and ensuring the best possible care for women diagnosed with the disease.
