Remembrance services will take place across Carrick on Sunday 8 November as communities pay their respect to the fallen.
Girvan and South Carrick:
Girvan: Meet at Cenotaph in Stair Park at 10am, followed by parade to North Parish Church, then onto Garden of Remembrance following the church service
Dailly: Service at the war memorial between 11.30am-12.30pm
Colmonell: 9.30am at the war memorial followed by a service at 10am in the St Colmon Church
Ballantrae: 11.30am Service at Ballantrae Parish Church followed by a wreath laying at the war memorial at 12.30pm.
Barr: Act of remembrance at the war memorial between 10.45am and 11.15am.
Barrhill: Act of remembrance at the war memorial at 3pm.
Pinwherry’s act of remembracne takes place on Armistice Day (Tuesday 11 November) with a service at 11am at the war memorial before a further act of remembrance at 2pm at the Heronsford War memorial on the same day.
Maybole and North Carrick:
Maybole: 10am service at town hall, followed by a parade to the war memorial for a wreath laying at approximately 11am.
Crosshill: Act of remembrance at 12 noon at the war memorial
Dunure: 1pm Community Council laying wreath at Fisherton Cemetery
Kirkmichael: 10.30am church service, approximately 11.20 at the war memorial
Kirkoswald: 11am church service followed by a wreath laying at approximately 12.15pm at the war memorial
Minishant: 1.30pm at the war memorial
Straiton: 12noon church service, 12.50pm at war memorial.
Acts of remembrance are free and open for anyone to attend.
