Carrick schools raise Red Nose Day cash

GROUPS across Carrick got into the spirit of fun to raise money for Comic Relief during Red Nose Day last Friday.

Schools across Carrick held fundraising games and challenges including a Danceathon and a talent competition.

Dailly Primary School (above) opted for a PJ day and sold cakes to raise funds for charity, while children at Cairn Primary in Maybole had a crazy hair to do their bit.

Carrick Academy pupils got retro with an 80s day, and held a staff versus senior pupils football match at lunchtime.

Invergarven School boogied their way to a charity cash bonanza with a danceathon at Girvan’s Catholic Hall, with Colmonell Primary got dressed up and held a Comic Relief talent competition.

At Ballantrae Primary kids raised money by taking part in quizzes and games, and doing a treasure hunt for hidden red noses.

And at Girvan and Barrhill primaries pupils dressed in their best red to mark the day.
