The final 2013 Farmers’ Markets will be held on Sunday 6 October from 11am to 3pm in Craigiemains Home and Garden Centre, Main Street, Ballantrae.
Colin McNally who is taking the lead for the project for the BDG said:
“The variety of produce on sale and the number of visitors continues to increase. Even at Augusts market when we had a touch of rain and a seaside breeze a number of stallholders sold out – so even more produce is planned for this market. We will again be showcasing quality local Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway food and produce.”
“The stalls will include award winning cheeses, rare breed pork, fish, beef and lamb, pies, fresh vegetables, jams, preserves, bread and cakes plus other local specialist products”.
In addition to the goods on sale at the market, at Craigiemains visitors will also find a coffee shop, gifts, books, garden supplies, a miniature railway and a newly established Visitor Information Point.
