Free bus service to Maybole for Girvan post office customers

The Post Office is to provide a free bus service to Maybole while its Girvan branch is closed for refurbishment.

The service for The Post Office’s Girvan customers will run between March 11 and March 18 to enable customers to use the Maybole branch.

The bus will leave from the bus stop outside the Girvan Post branch and the drop off point will be at the bus stop in High Street, Maybole, a short distance from the Maybole branch.

The bus will then depart Maybole at the same point 30 minutes later to return to the same bus stop at Girvan.

The Service will be provided by Shuttle Buses Ltd.

On Mondays to Fridays the bus will leave Girvan at 9am (returning at 10.10am) 10.30am (returning at 11.40am) 12noon (returning at 1.30pm) 1.30pm (returning at 2.40pm) 3pm (returning at 4.10pm) and 4.30pm (returning at 5.40pm).

On Saturdays the bus will leave Girvan at 9.30am (returning at 10.40am) and 11am (returning at 12.10pm).

A Post Office spokesman said: “We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers during the temporary closure period.”
