After a decade-long absence the Guides are back in Maybole.

The 1st Maybole Guides held their first night on Thursday, August 28 and there has been a fantastic response from girls in the community.

The girls had lots of fun getting to know each other while making Loom Bands, decorating cakes and making name badges.

Parents were invited to join their girls towards the end of the session and were treated to the cakes that the girls had made with some tea/coffee.

The Leaders, Lorna Thomson and Marion Hutchison, have some exciting activities and outings planned for the coming weeks.

Lorna and Marion would like to thank everyone in the community who has supported them, they are very grateful for all of the donations that they have received to help get them up and running.

There are Brownies (Girls aged 7 to 10yrs old) in Crosshill, Maybole, Girvan and Colmonell. There are Guides (Girls aged 10 to 14yrs old) in Crosshill, Maybole and Girvan.
