A public meeting is to be held on Tuesday (March 10) giving people the chance to have their say on the plans for a new Invergarven Primary in Girvan.
The meeting will be held in Girvan Academy starting at 7pm and all parents, carers and other interested parties from both Invergarven and the Academy are invited to attend.
Councillors agreed plans for a £3.7m new Invergarven school at their budget meeting in December and last month started the consultation process which is set to last until Friday 24 April.
It is believed that the special needs school is expected to be relocated into the grounds of Girvan Academy on the site of the current bus and car park. A final location has not been agreed though and the public meeting as well as the online consultation at www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/consultations give you the chance to make your views heard. You can also write to the Director of Educational Services at County Buildings, Wellington, Square, Ayr with your views.
