The Scottish Commission for Learning Disability is running a free consultation event at the Carrick Opportunities Centre in Girvan on Thursday (6th October).
The commission want to hear what people with learning disabilities who receive disability benefits think Scotland’s new social security system should look like.
It also wants to hear what family members, friends, advocates and support workers think the most important issues are for the people with learning disabilities they know.
The commission will be submitting the findings from the event to the Scottish Government, as part of their current consultation process.
the event takes place from 10am-12.30pm on Thursday 6th October 2016 in the Carrick Opportunities Centre, 20A Henrietta Street, Girvan.
