MSP urges youth to continue engaging with politics

Local SNP MSP Adam Ingram has today urged all 16-17 year olds to continue to engage in politics by responding to an online survey produced by the Scottish Parliament committee tasked with examining the devolution of further powers to The Scottish Parliament.

Mr Ingram said: “The levels of political engagement across all walks of life has been one of the best aspects of the referendum and I want to see that engagement continue to thrive.

“I was particularly struck by the engagement of young people in the many schools, colleges, universities and youth groups that I spoke to over the course of the referendum campaign. I firmly believe that the Scottish Parliament made the right decision in extending the vote to 16 and 17 year olds.

“The Scottish Parliament are looking for 16-17 year olds to fill in this online questionnaire asking for their opinions and experience of the referendum. The survey can be found here:”
