Girvan Amateurs raised the South League Cup aloft in November 1991 at Hamilton Park. But the scoreline on the day 3-1, and 6-1 on aggregate, did not reflect the quality of the opponents, Dalbeattie, said the Gazette.
Girvan manager Alec Read said he was a happy man after winning the trophy.
