Police have praised visitors and residents after the success of the 145th Open Golf at Royal Troon.
The policing plan developed with partners including the R&A, emergency services, South Ayrshire Council and Traffic Scotland was implemented to deliver a safe event, attended by around 173,000 people.
Police Scotland said there were only limited, minor criminal incidents committed during the event.
Chief Superintendent Gillian MacDonald, the event commander, said, “The residents in Troon and its surrounding area have been amazingly supportive and co-operative and visitors have behaved extremely well and have followed transport guidance to ensure that people could enter and leave the event safely and smoothly.
“The atmosphere has been nothing short of wonderful, with everyone soaking up the Open experience both on the course and in Troon.
“Officers have been on hand throughout the event to provide support and guidance to visitors to ensure people get home safely.”
