Police in Carrick are to host the first of a series of meetings with the community designed to help them engage more with local residents in the South Carrick area.
Community policing officers will host a “Police and Community” meeting at the Carrick Buidings, Girvan at 7:30pm on Thursday, July 21.
Sergeant Mark Hornby said: “The purpose of the meeting is to give members of the public an update on the local policing plan, to discuss any issues or concerns in relation to it and to identify any new or emerging issues.
“This will be the first of several meetings which will be held throughout the year across South Carrick.”
And there are also plans to hold similar events throughout North Carrick this year too as the force engages with the local community.
