post Office services returned to Carrick village Colmonell last week.
Following the end of the formal period of public consultation, and having received no comments from customers or local representatives, the Hosted Post Office service was introduced at the Colmonell Community Centre.
Customers will still be able to access the same range of products and services as the previous service.
Ian Liley, Field Change Advisor, Post Office Ltd, said: “Our priority is to safeguard Post Office services to the local community in the longer term.
“The facilities and service that we provide to our customers is of paramount importance and we are confident that the new service can meet the demands of our customers in the local community and we hope it will be supported.”
The new Hosted service, provided by the Subpostmaster from Dalrymple Post Office branch will operate for a total of two hours per week, on Tuesdays between 9.30am and 11.30am.
In order to restore a service to the community of Colmonell, the new Hosted service commenced last Tuesday, June 7.
