The A77 in Dalrymple Street, Girvan will see essential road improvement works start from Saturday August 17 for three days.
This will take place between Wesley Street and the Glendoune Junction.
A total road closure will be in place on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 August 2013 between 07.00am and 19:00pm. On Monday 19 August ‘stop and go’ traffic management will be in place from 09.30am to 16.00pm. Local access and parking will also be restricted during these times.
Traffic travelling on the A77 southbound will be diverted right on to Knockcushan St and then left on to Henrietta St, and Glendoune St to Shallochpark Roundabout. Northbound traffic will remain unaffected.
Advanced warning signs will also be in place on the approach to the works to inform motorists that roadworks are taking place.
The improvement works are being carried out by Scotland Tran Serv on behalf of Transport Scotland at a cost of £95,000.
