There was dancing in the street in Girvan on Friday as the town got into the festive spirit with the switching on of the Christmas lights.
The annual event saw a fantastic programme of fun get underway at 5.30pm with a service in the Methodist Church.
The Christmas Lights were then switched on followed by a parade led by Santa himself before he have away presents in his grotto in the revamped Stumpy Tower.
There were lots of different stalls, childrens rides, music on the street, a magician, a clown, a stilt walker, circus performers and balloon modellers.
Girvan Playgroup Funds were also boosted by £105 after the Girvan For Independence group took a Tombola and Face Painting stall at Girvan Street Party.
