The community of Barrhill is in shock this week after a road crash killed a 23 year-old man from the village.
Neil Wilson was travelling northbound on the A77 on Friday 16 August when he was involved in a collision with two other vehicles.
Thecrash occurred around 6.45pm on the Maybole Road, near Ayr when Mr Wilson was riding his black and orange KTM motorcycle and collided with a grey Volvo and a silver Citroen.
He died instantly at the scene. His relatives have been informed and have asked for privacy “at this difficult time”.
The driver of the Volvo,a 51 year old woman and the driver of the Citroen, a 66 year old man were not injured in the accident, but police say both have been left very shaken by what has happened.
Mr Wilson was working as an electrician and was a popular member of the community.
A local man said: “Neil was well liked and had a great sense of humour and a heart of gold.”
