THE TWITTER campaign that brought an ambitious Glasgow graduate to Girvan in search of a job has yielded a foothold in the legal profession.
Law grad Lyndsey Jefferson, 28, embarked on her 1400-mile Tweet by Feet campaign to bag herself a law traineeship over just seven working days in February – and stopped by the Carrick Gazette office after an appointment at Dalrymple Street-based solicitors Smith and Valentine.
But nearly a month after her mammoth road-trip had finished and still no word, Lyndsey was beginning to lose patience.
So she was naturally thrilled when she found out this week that she was to become the newest trainee at Glasgow firm Thompson and Brown.
Lyndsey tweeted her news to her many newly-accrued followers on Wednesday, and said she was “absolutely thrilled to bits” and “still numb” at her success. She will begin her new job on Tuesday.
