Since the last community council meeting on May 6, the Girvan and South Carrick policing team have dealt with 168 incidents, 38 of which were recorded crimes.

Broken down the offences committed were eight road traffic offences, ten thefts, one attempted theft, one assault with an intent to rob, two communication offences relating to web and phone communication, five common assaults, one sexual offence, one fraud, one fireraising, six vandalism offences, one person being drunk and incapable and one person being caught being threatening towards an individual.

Jane Jardine raised a complaint about a motorbike at Linden Avenue which the police say they are aware of whilst they will look into Lorraine Villiger’s query about a car that has started to race down Henrietta Street again after the problem had gone away for several months.
