A night of top action in Maybole

Wrestling fans in Maybole were treated to a host of top action on Friday night in the town hall as Premier British Wrestling (PBW) rolled into Carrick.

A full house was in place for PBW’s first event of 2014 and over 150 fans witnessed a number of top wrestlers from around the country take to the stage.

In a controversial tag team match, Just UZ who are BT Gunn and Steve Xavier fought back from almost certain defeat to beat TJ Rage and Scott Maverick with Charles Boddington.

TJ Rage and Charles Boddington were heading for victory in the tag team match before Boddington decided he wanted to try and win the match by using a briefcase which Rage wasn’t happy about and he let this show in a war of words with Boddington.

This allowed Gunn to carry out a pin to win it for Just UZ.

Rising star Ryan Hendricks pulled off a shock by beating former tag team champion Davy Blaze whilst Scotland’s top female wrestler Kay Lee Ray took care of Kasey Owens.

There was a win too for Switch over Solar but he had to be taken to hospital afterwards after suffering an elbow to the face.

In the other matches, Lionheart and Wolfgang showed they’ve still got it by beating Dave Krycek and Craig Damian whilst Kenny Williams and Tommy Marx managed to hold off the threat from debutants Lou King Sharp and Brendan Cooper.

And one of the most hated men in Premier British Wrestling, Red Lightning beat JD Bravo.

Premier British Wrestling thoroughly enjoyed kicking off their 2014 season in Maybole and would like to thank everyone who came to the town hall to support the event.

They would also like to thank the fans in attendance for creating a fantastic atmosphere on Friday night ensuring that their first show of the year went extremely well.
