Well I suppose it was expected that Ayr would lose to Dunfermline who are virtually certain to win the division. However Ayr were holding them to a draw at half time and by then I hoped that they could manage to steal a point at the end.
Neither side looked capable of scoring until Ayr left the back door open and El Bakhtaoui took advantage of the situation.
Ayr did not learn from this and the Dunfermline forward crept in again to score his second goal only six minutes later. I must admit that Dunfermline were the better team, but as I said neither team looked like scoring until Dunfermline took advantage of Ayr’s lapses.
Now for an even bigger surprise and that is Girvan only managing to draw with Ardeer who are bottom of the division with only two points to their name before this match. However Girvan are managing to continue their run without a loss, so well done.
