Most of the month was unsettled with no dry spell lasting longer than two days.
Even so, the total rainfall, as measured 2.5 miles east of Ballantrae, was only 98.4mm (3.8 inches) making it slightly below the 15 year average of 106.4mm (4.18in).
The mean temperature for the month worked out at 13.9C compared to the average of 14.8C. The highest temperature was 20.2C on the fourth of the month, and the lowest overnight temperature was 5.4C early on the 19th.
