The Carrick Cycling Club made the journey to Forfar last weekend for the blue ribbon event of the Scottish racing calendar.
The National Team Time Trial drew in a high calibre of talent as teams from all across the country arrived eager to claim a coveted medal.
The CCC managed to place the disappointment of last weekend’s cancelled 100 mile National Time Trial firmly behing them with a stunning performance over the 38 mile course.
Armstrong, Robb, Skilling, and Yates utilised many months of solid training to record a time of just over 1 hour and 23 minutes which would secure them the 3rd fastest time on the day with Pro Vision Cycle Clothing and Spokes Race Team taking first and second spots respectively.
Team Captain Mark Skilling paid tribute to his team mates who had worked exceptionally hard over the last few months, with special mention going to Brian Yates who has shown some “fantastic form” of late by recently winning the Mok Sprint Triathlon in Campbeltown.
