Everyone’s a winner

CYCLING is riding the crest of a wave as South Carrick prepares to play host to two of Scotland’s most prestigious events.

The news, revealed in the Gazette last week that Tour DoonHame will bring back its Girvan stage in April after a two-year absence has delighted cycling enthusiasts and community leaders alike.

And, coming on the back of the announcement two weeks ago that it will be followed by the David Bell Memorial race in June, the sport will take on an extra-high profile as it heads the charge to establish the area as a major sporting hub.
