Fine away win for Girvan Primary

After the league seeding round was concluded last month Girvan Primary were placed third in their group.

This means that the team has been put in the league bowl section and on Wednesday, February 26 played Forehill away at Belmont Academy’s all-weather pitch in the first bowl game.

After five minutes of play with both teams equally matched, Girvan took the lead with a wee-taken goal from Aaron Mooney.

Forehill replied with an equaliser but Girvan restored their lead with a goal from Alan Harkness after being skilfully supplied by Calum Ingram.

In the second half Forehill scored an equaliser but Aaron scored again to restore the lead.

After another Forehill equaliser Alan scored his second of the day and Aaron completed his hat-trick holding on their lead until the end of the match.

Well done to Philip Faulds who played his debut for the club. Many thanks to Mrs clark for transport and refreshments and to the parents who turned up to support Girvan.

Next month Girvan entertain Tarbolton at home both in the league and in the Mackie Cup.
