Ayrseaforth youngster Fraser Stirling was amongst the medals at the recent Scottish Athletics National Short Course 4k Cross Country Championships which were held at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow.
Fraser showing his credentials by finishing sixth overall and was first counter for his team which he helped to Team bronze medal. Showing his speed too with a time of 6.36 over the 2000 mts distance.
At the Ayrshire Cross Country Championships held at Irvine Beach Park on Saturday Fraser continued his fine form with a first place finish in (13:36), Lewis Ross was second (14:13), Reese Simms of Girvan was third with Callum Meldrum fifth (15:25) and Ewan McLevy sixth (15:34). The first three Ayrseaforth boys took the team gold.
Also running was Kerry-Liam Wilson who finished as first Master over 4000m in 13:03 to take 31st place and fourth counter for the team.
