Girvan got back on league form on Saturday with a 3-1 Super First Division away win against Irvine Victoria.
Right from the kick off Girvan looked up for this game and dominated for most of the match.
David Jardine opened the scoring with a low drive into the bottom corner after some sustained pressure and the lead was doubled before half time by David Cunningham.
Girvan came out early for the second half and made it 3-0 in only 30 seconds as Jack McDowall stole in at the back post and fired home as the Vics defence stood still.
Girvan went on to totally dominate the game and created chance after chance.
However after going down to ten men Irvine were then awarded a penalty.
There seemed to be some confusion over the award as the referee never gave it but the linesman shouted him over and he changed his mind.
However a totally dominate performance from Girvan and in the end it could have been a lot more than three goals, but three points was the objective and the lads delivered.
In the Ayrshire Distric League Maybole Juniors won 1-0 at home on Saturday against Craigmark Burntonians. Next up for Maybole is an away league game at Lugar Boswell Thistle on Saturday.
