GIRVAN have been drawn away to Vale of Leithen in the first round of the William Hill Scottish Cup.
The Seasiders will face the East of Scotland league side on Saturday, September 24 after Monday’s draw at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow.
Girvan chairman Tam McCreadie was hopeful his side could make their way through to the second round. He said: “Hopefully we’ll be able to get through the tie.
“We would have liked to have had a home draw but it wasn’t to be.”
Vale are based in Innerleithen, six miles east of Peebles and 12 miles west of Galashiels.
