Isle of Bute festival attracts range of cyclists from across Carrick clubs

As the cycling season draws to a close, the annual Isle of Bute Cycling Festival provided an opportunity for cyclists of all abilities to compete in a range of disciplines.

These included a hill climb, a two rider “2 up” time trial, a road race, Cyclo Cross, and a 10 mile time trial.

At this year’s event , from 16th to 18th September, all the local cycling clubs were were well represented and provisional results show some impressive performances, which will be detailed next week - at the time of going to press not all results are published.

The Ayr Roads Sunday Run saw a group of riders taking the coast road down to Girvan, and returning inland via Dailly and Maybole.
