Carrick Academy golfer Jack Broun was a winner in this year’s South Ayrshire schools open golf competition.
This is the third year of the competition which is organised by Rev. David Gemmell and Richard Gordon, Golf Professional at Belleisle Golf Club.
South Ayrshire Depute Provost Mary Kilpatrick welcomed the competition winners to the County Buildings and presented them with their prizes.
She said: “Since this competition stated in 2011 entries have increased to a record number this year and I am delighted that so many youngsters are becoming involved in this great sport. I am encouraged that organisers, Reverend David Gemmell and Richard Gordon’s vision has reached this level and continues to grow to the benefit of youngsters in South Ayrshire and I thank them both for their input and hard work.”
