Oliver Galloway, 9, from Whauphill is to represent Newton Stewart Rugby Football Club as mascot for Scotland when they play Argentina on 19 November at Murrayfield. The club were given the fantastic opportunity to select a minis player to mascot at the game. Oliver’s name was drawn out a hat of those training with the club.
Youth Coach Peter Simpson said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for the club to be represented at an international game. We felt the fairest way was to select a mini player at random from those who regularly train with us, as any of the players would be over the moon to be picked. I am sure that Oliver will do an excellent job as mascot and it is an occasion he will remember forever.”
