Penultimate round of time trialling for Ayr Roads cycling

Eight riders from Ayr Roads CC - Harry Fairbairn BMW - headed to Loans on Thursday for the penultimate round of the club 10 mile Time Trial competition.

Despite far from favourable conditions, some very respectable times were recorded on a blustery Autumn evening.

Alastair McGibbon cemented his impressive grasp on the trophy with a time of 22 minutes and 43 seconds, whilst Thomas Gooding-Hill rode a personal best time of 25 minutes and 18 seconds. Full results as follows :

Inverclyde was the venue on Sunday for the Sam Dooley memorial 25 mile Time Trial, where two Ayr Roads CC members were competing in this prestigious Scottish event. A crisp and calm day would enhance the prospect of some notable times, with Iain Grant of Dooleys Race Team turning in an excellent performance with a winning time of 51 minutes and 21 seconds. Alex McAllister of Ayr Roads CC continued his late season time trialling form with a hard earned personal best time 58 minutes and 1 second, whilst Alastair McGibbon came home comfortably under the hour with a time of 59 minutes and 38 seconds.
