Girvan Primary took on St John’s at Hamilton Park in a qualifying game to decide which league the teams will play in later this season. And in a pulsating end-to-end game the final score was an incredible 11-8 to St John’s.
St John’s got off to a good start with two goals in two minutes. Calum McDowall got one back for Girvan but St John’s restored their two goal lead soon after. Scott Jaszewski scored a brilliant goal following a mazy run from his own half but by now St John’s were scoring freely with good passing and movement.
The score was 8-4 at half time but Girvan scored four in the second half. The visitors managed three in the second period.
