Primary schoolchildren from Dailly are to perform the official opening ceremony as the village Co-op closes and re-opens as a McColls.
The move comes after Co-op sold 300 stores to McColls last year. The store closes on March 26 and re-opens on March 29 as McColls.
The store has been a fixture in the village for around 60 years.
Store manager Andy Macfarlane said: “It’s a big thing for Dailly. We wanted to make a big thing of it and invited the primary school pupils to have an official opening complete with ribbons and balloons.”
The opening ceremony will take place at 10am on March 29. To celebrate the opening there will also be a hamper raffle.
