Girvan Coastal Rowing Club will hold an Extraordinary General Meeting on Tuesday 6th December at 7pm at Girvan Academy in a drive to recruit office bearers to take coastal rowing forward in Girvan.

Go along to the meeting to find out how you can make a difference. Contact girvan.rowing@btinternet.com for further information.

Regular rowing sessions are held twice-weekly from Girvan Harbour.

Free taster sessions are available and with experienced coxswains in charge, rowers can enjoy rowing on Girvan Bay.

This year, Girvan teams of mixed age groups have participated in fun rowing events all along the Ayrshire coast from Ballantrae Smugglers Festival to Largs Rowing Regatta.

National and regional skiff events are also held on inland lochs such as Loch Ken, Loch Katrine and Loch Tummel.

In 2016, the Girvan team rowed the skiff “Creag Ealasaid” in the St Ayles Skiff World Championships held at Strangford Lough in Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
