After the success of the local groups already set up in Ayr North, Ayr South, Prestwick, Troon and Girvan the local YES campaign plan to launch in every village over the next two months.
Corri Wilson, Co-ordinator for the local YES campaign in South Ayrshire said: “We have very active groups already established in the main towns with members from cross-party and no party affiliation so the next obvious step was to take the campaign to local communities.
“Wherever we go we are finding people want to engage in the debate and ask questions so hopefully this will give everyone in the area a chance to find out more information and become involved if they wish.
“We welcome anyone at the meetings whether Yes, No or undecided as the only way people can make an informed choice is through access to all the information.”
