In September last year, Maybole Town Twinning Association celebrated 30 years of being twinned with the French town of Crosne. There was a weekend of celebration to mark this event and the mayor of Crosne Alain Gerard and Provost of South Ayrshire Council Mrs Helen Moonie planted a tree in the garden of Maybole Town Hall to commemorate the 30 years.

Co-operative Funeralcare Maybole has now gifted a plaque to the Twinning Association to mark the tree planting.
